With Marina Makeover, IMI is bringing you a two-day interactive, hands-on workshop. You have questions? You want to discuss some things you’ve encountered in the day-to-day operations of your marina? You want to get into the finer details of marina redesign? Then come to Marina Makeover: An Interactive Experience.
This is not a conference or trade show. IMI is offering a unique, guided workshop to further your marina education and make you even better at what you do best: running and maintaining a solid marina.
Marina Makeover is based on the same proven methods IMI uses in its Advanced Marina Management courses to train hundreds of Certified Marina Managers (CMMs) worldwide. Guided by a workshop facilitator, marina industry professionals, and vendors, Marina Makeover participants will choose one of five existing marina facilities from different parts of the United States and work in groups to perform a case study analyzing all aspects of the property. Through intensive group discussion focusing on marina redesign and operations, participants will provide ideas for improvement and prepare a presentation to share with other groups at the workshop.
You will increase your ability to design, upgrade, and maintain marina facilities by working in small teams to redesign real facilities. Focus topics will include:
- how to use a marina property more efficiently
- best profit ideas, better operations, and marina redesign
- engineering, fuel, safety, electrical systems, and environmental concerns with marina redesign
- hurricane, storm, and ice protection
- new profit centers and marketing techniques
- products and services to support marina facilities
