2019 IMBC Registration Opens
The
IMBC, late January, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, includes educational training for all levels

Warren, RI—Registration for the International Marina & Boatyard Conference (IMBC) is now open at MarinaAssociation.org/IMBC. Entering its 17th year, the conference will be held January 23-25, 2019, at the Broward County Convention Center in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and is produced by the Association of Marina Industries (AMI).

Full conference passes start at $399 and include unlimited access to all educational seminars, regional round tables, workshops, food and beverages, entry into the exhibit hall, and admission to all networking events. Social events include the popular Casino Night; an AMI member meeting, followed by a first-time attendee reception; and the opening night Exhibit Hall Party.
An exciting new track for this year’s IMBC is entitled Ahead of the Curve and focuses on future trends and industry innovation. A new offering is a pre-conference entry-level training, Marina 101, which provides training for entry-level staff. The dozens of seminar and workshop offerings at the conference offer a balanced selection focused on four key tracks: operations, service and repair, design and engineering, and best industry practices. Sessions address topics ranging from solar piers and excess energy revenue sources to shoreline erosion control, managing a multi-generational team, design considerations for American Disabilities Act (ADA), serving the aging boater, lessons learned in the wake of hurricane Irma, understanding your financial benchmarks, rights related to derelict boats, and fiberglass boat recycling programs. Leaders in their respective fields present these sessions, and each day of intense learning closes with receptions and socials, providing you the opportunity for continued industry networking.

"IMBC continues to be the place where marina and boatyard professionals come for personal and professional growth and networking to build life-long relationships; it is the annual event for our industry," says AMI Chair Joe Riley, Certified Marina Manager (CMM). "This year we have made some enhancements to our educational agenda to provide sessions that are inclusive of all levels of the industry. As leaders, this is where we gather to keep well-informed on trends, discuss new ideas, talk to suppliers about new products hitting the market, and create important professional relationships. It is how we improve our businesses and find information to ensure continued success. As we look to succession in our industry, it is critical we provide training at the entry-levels to provide a vision of a clear career path in marina management for the next generation."
As well as full conference passes, IMBC offers one-day passes and exhibit hall passes. AMI members receive a discount on all passes. In addition to the benefits of full conference and one-day passes, the marina and boatyard field trip is available for an additional $75 for AMI members and $100 for non-members. Exhibit hall-only and guest passes may also be purchased.
