Advocacy

About
AMI’s Government Relations focuses on both federal legislation important to AMI members and state legislation and regulation important to our affiliate partner trade associations: advocating for specific marina-related issues, researching and developing programs and publications of relevance to the marina industry, communicating current issues to membership, and representing the industry on key task forces and industry organizations. Our advocacy efforts are guided by AMI's Legislative Committee, who identify policy issues and develop AMI's advocacy agenda. AMI is partnered with the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) - the marine industry's most important representative in Washington DC. In Fall 2016, AMI contracted with LobbyIt.com to provide AMI with marina specific legislative information and to help with marina specific advocacy.
