Virtual AMI Conference & Expo Official Opening Today
The Virtual Association of Marina Industries Conference & Expo opens with exhibit hall visits, a member meeting, and virtual networking at trivia event
Warren, RI- After a week of successful pre-conference workshops, the 2021 Virtual Association of Marina Industries (AMI) Conference & Expo scheduled for January 27, 2021 – February 17, 2021, officially opens today with the annual AMI member meeting and a virtual trivia night for some fun and networking.
The annual member meeting, scheduled for 4:00pm – 5:00 p.m. EST, will be held via Zoom. You can access links to the meeting, including the trivia event, by logging in to the virtual event. Following the member meeting, attendees will join Ryan Budds,
Los Angeles entertainer and comedian, for “It's 5 o'clock Somewhere - Test Your Mastery of Obscure Knowledge” at 5:00
p.m. EST. Budds will lead the group through five rounds of trivia, covering anything from sports and movie trivia to Broadway, presidents and geography. The top three scorers will receive prizes for their skills.
The educational component of the conference opens on February 3, at 12:15 p.m. with Colette Carlson’s keynote, “YOU
Management: Self-Care Strategies for Successful Leaders.” Subsequent sessions include “Service is a Superpower”;
“Conquering the Top Ten OSHA Violations;“ and Carlson’s breakout session “YOU Management Deep Dive: Staying Resilient When You Are in Charge,” where she will focus on tips and strategies for habit-changing and self-care for effective leaders. HydroHoist Boatlifts and Golden Marine Systems will conduct demonstrations, and the virtual exhibit hall is open for virtual visits throughout the day.
At 2:20 p.m. EST, at the annual awards ceremony, AMI will recognize an elite group of marina professionals, who have completed the requisite experience and training to be recognized as Certified Marina Managers (CMM) or Certified Marina Operators (CMO). This year twelve awards will be presented.
Full-conference passes, providing access to the full virtual event including networking, educational sessions and exhibit hall through March 31, 2021, are $175 for AMI members and $225 for non-members.
