“Weathering the Storm” Content Released
Hurricane Preparedness and Recovery Conference and Marina Tour
 
Warren, RI – The International Marina Institute (IMI), a subsidiary of the Association of Marina Industries (AMI), released the full schedule for their one-day Hurricane Preparedness and Recovery Conference, Monday, October 29, 2018, in Miami, Florida, along with the names of the marinas in the Miami area that will be visited during the one-day Marina & Boatyard Tour, October 30, 2018.
 
The conference schedule consists of 10 speakers covering 10 different topics on hurricane planning from start to finish. Build your hurricane plan with the experts as they discuss severe storm tracking and prediction, communication, insurance, marina design, electrical and fuel systems, employee safety and docks. Speakers will share their personal experience and recommendations during each session. The conference will conclude with an open question and answer panel.
 
The Marina & Boatyard Tour will take attendees, by boat, to six marinas in the Miami area that have been affected by Hurricane Irma. All conference attendees are invited to the opening reception at the Marriott Miami Biscayne Bay, October 28, 2018, from 6 - 8 p.m.
 
The “Weathering the Storm” Conference fee includes a one-night hotel stay, an opening reception the evening before the conference, and breakfast and lunch the day of the conference. The AMI member rate is $575; the non-member rate is $675.
 
The Marina & Boatyard Tour fee includes a one-night hotel stay, transportation for the daylong tour, and breakfast and lunch the day of the tour. The AMI member rate is $799; the non-member rate is $899.
 
Register for both events and receive a $100 discount — $1,274 for members; $1,474 for non-members.
