Topic: More Than a Dock: Turning Your Marina into a Destination
Description: We all know what it takes to provide safe and secure mooring and docking facilities for boaters, which of course includes great dock systems, calm waters with sufficient navigable depths, and reliable electrical and water utilities, fuel, and pump out systems. This session will focus on the boater amenities that set your marina apart from the competition, covering boater amenities such as lounges, showers and restrooms, tiki bars and restaurants, pools, entertainment, and gathering spaces. This presentation will help you brainstorm ideas drawn from marinas across the country and around the world that you can implement in your marina. We will explore some of the best boater amenity buildings built in recent years and discuss special services you can offer your boaters to provide concierge-level service for the best boating experience possible. Presenters will include architects and designers, as well as marina operators.
